Common questions

Before your first visit.

How long is a session?
All sessions are 60 minutes. First visits include intake and a full-body assessment alongside treatment, so you get the same length whether it's your first or your tenth.
What should I wear?
Loose, comfortable clothes you can move in — yoga pants or athletic shorts, a t-shirt or tank. Treatment is hands-on but does not require disrobing in most cases. If full access to a specific area is needed, draping is used.
Do you direct-bill insurance?
Direct billing depends on the location and the provider. Most patients pay at the time of the visit and submit the receipt to their plan for reimbursement. Most major Canadian plans cover osteopathic manual therapy — see the insurance article for the full list.
What's the cancellation policy?
24 hours notice for both clinics. Inside that window, the visit is charged at full rate. Insurance policies typically can't be billed for late cancellations or missed appointments.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the presentation. For most acute issues, two to four sessions resolve the bulk of the problem. Long-standing patterns take longer, but you should feel meaningful change inside the first few visits — if not, we'll talk about whether a different approach makes sense.
